My name is John Doble. I am currently living in Montreal, Canada.

My background in the container shipping industry has taken me to work in the three major Canadian cities of Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. I began my career in 1986, with McLean Kennedy Inc as agents for Evergreen Line.  Container shipping has been a large part of my life ever since. Over the years I have worked in management positions in Customer Service, Operations and Sales. I’ve worked most job functions from import clerk to Vice President of Sales for P&O Nedlloyd for the region of Canada. My last position with a container carrier was as General Manager of Sales for Maersk Line.

Many of the “old-timers” tell stories of how much the industry has changed over the years. . The purpose of this website is to keep up with those changes and to inform and hopefully allow discussion on those very issues affecting stakeholders in the container shipping industry in Canada.

Topic suggestions and guest writers with industry experience are always welcome.
